Cross Stitches by my Sister

Look at what my sister has been working on. What a gorgeous surprise for each of my daughter Sarahchildren to hang up just in time for Christmas. She got the patterns from several Christmas stocking specialist books , not sure exactly whose at this stage but will find out and post later.

Cross Stitches

Quilting aside, this is the results of my other passion - cross stitch. Finished Heaven and Earth Design "Lady in a meadow", by Kinoko Y Craft. Stitched on 18 count aida took 2 years to complete!!

This is the start of my next project "Morris garden of delight"

Had six weeks off due to shoulder surgery, but hoping to have it completed in 18 months! They're not projects you can complete over night!

Back to sewing - have a great day!

My Craft Space

Everyone has their "creative space". I am fortunate to have several in my house. This is my quilting room where quilts are finished off. I also have my sewing room , where I create my quilts, and another space on the dining room table for when I just have to keep sewing when people are visiting.!! How rude you may say , but my friends and family understand my idiosyncracies. Last but by no means least  I also commandeer a corner of the TV room for the end of the day when I indulge in my other passion- cross stitch. I must praise my husband and four children because never in the last 20 years or so have I had any complaints or accidents on "my latest creation". They all just take it in their stride and squeeze in where-ever they fit ! Now thats accomodating!

Getting There

Haven't got the hang of this yet still to sort out how to post pictures. I get so tired of everyone saying how easy it all is but my computer wont always behave. Well perhaps it is the operator !!
Bought another 2 patterns from my favorite site today. Heaven and Earth Designs .Wow what a treasure trove if you like patterns with that extra something. I guarantee if you enjoy a challenge, and love cross stitch this has to be the place for you to visit. I bought Eternal Promise and Foxglove Hall. I now officially have to live way beyond 100 in order to finish the ones I have . Truly NO MORE!!
I also managed to work today on a customer quilt and finished it. I have to finish as many as I can before next week when I have my shoulder surgery. Enough for now , till next time . Have a great day
